Tim Draper
Tim Draper flew from Norman Y. Mineta San Jose International Airport to Maverick Field in Wisconsin on June 22, a three-hour, 29-minute hop in his Gulfstream G550. The arrival at the small airfield near Spring Green places him at the Draper family compound, a known retreat for the third-generation venture capitalist.
The same week, Draper is confirmed as a speaker at Bitcoin 2026 in Las Vegas, where he will deliver a keynote on April 27, per the conference's speaker page. The event, held at The Venetian Resort, draws over 35,000 attendees and features 500-plus speakers. Draper has used recent public appearances to argue that quantum computing poses a greater threat to legacy banks than to Bitcoin, telling Cryptify Now in June that "quantum will crack the banks long before it touches the blockchain."
The Wisconsin stop fits a pattern of mid-continent movements for Draper, who has flown from Nashville to Boston, San Jose to Nashville, and Iceland to Scotland in recent weeks. His June itinerary suggests a mix of conference prep and family time before heading to Las Vegas for the Bitcoin conference, where he has held court for years as one of the asset's earliest institutional backers.
