Tom Cruise departed Austin Bergstrom International Airport on May 16 and arrived at Minden-Tahoe Airport three hours and eighteen minutes later in his Bombardier Challenger 350, N350XX. The flight from central Texas to the eastern Sierra Nevada comes just days after Cruise attended the Cannes Film Festival premiere of 'Mission: Impossible — The Final Reckoning' on May 14.
The actor is widely expected to spend the next week preparing for the film’s global release on May 23, per [CNN](https://www.cnn.com/2025/05/14/entertainment/tom-cruise-mission-impossible-cannes). Minden-Tahoe, a high-altitude airfield favored by private aviation, offers Cruise proximity to remote wilderness and a known residence in the Lake Tahoe area, where he often retreats between promotional tours.
Cruise’s flight pattern this month has been unusually varied: he flew from Clearwater, Florida, to Rochester, New York, to Gulfport, Mississippi, and back to Clearwater before the Austin stopover. The Minden destination is a departure from his typical Florida–California corridor, suggesting a deliberate detour ahead of the film’s opening weekend.
