Troy Aikman's Challenger lands at Reading for WWII Weekend

Troy Aikman
Troy Aikman flew from Dallas Love Field to Reading Regional Airport on June 10, a trip of roughly two hours and forty-six minutes aboard his Bombardier Challenger 300, N8TA. Reading is not among Aikman's usual recurring destinations, which tend toward Chicago, Miami, Aspen, Las Vegas, San Diego, and Charlotte.
The same week Aikman arrived, Reading was preparing for the 35th Annual World War II Weekend, hosted by the Mid-Atlantic Air Museum at the airport. As reported by WFMZ, two of the rarest World War II warbirds — a Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress and a North American B-25 Mitchell — had touched down at KRDG the day before, and organizers expected more than 80 aircraft for the event that runs June 5–7. Radio Hangar notes the weekend combines a large warbird fly-in with coordinated air-ground reenactments and period encampments.
Aikman's recent flight pattern shows multiple trips to the New York area via Teterboro in May, plus a round trip to Chattanooga in mid-May. A detour to a Pennsylvania air museum — even one as active as Reading's WWII Weekend, which draws aviators from across the country — is a departure from his usual sport and broadcast circuit, but fits a quiet enthusiast's weekend.
