Troy Aikman
Troy Aikman flew from Santa Barbara to Dallas Love Field on June 20, a 2-hour 39-minute hop in his Bombardier Challenger 300 (N8TA) that landed just before 5 p.m. local time. The trip home follows a week in which Aikman’s dual life as ESPN analyst and de facto Miami Dolphins consultant remained a topic of conversation, with former teammate Michael Irvin telling the DLLS Cowboys podcast that it “pains him” to see Aikman helping a conference rival instead of the Cowboys, per [awfulannouncing.com](https://awfulannouncing.com/nfl/michael-irvin-troy-aikman-dolphins-cowboys-pains-him.html).
The same week, Aikman and current Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott shared the stage as honorary chairs for the Children’s Cancer Fund 36th Anniversary Gala in Dallas, raising more than $3 million for pediatric cancer research, according to [dallascowboys.com](https://www.dallascowboys.com/news/dak-prescott-troy-aikman-share-the-stage-for-children-s-cancer-fund-gala). Aikman noted the event’s 30-year legacy, passed from Roger Staubach to himself to Prescott.
Aikman’s recent flight history shows a pattern of long weekends: a June 16 hop from Dallas to Santa Barbara, a June 10 round trip to Philadelphia, and a May 25 run to Des Moines. The Santa Barbara leg, like many of his trips, appears to blend personal time with the business of a man who still calls Monday Night Football, invests in Eight Elite Lager, and now holds a stake in the Dolphins’ front-office decisions.
