Tyler Perry flew from Clifford Field in Georgia to Hollywood Burbank Airport on May 20, arriving just before 1:30 a.m. after a 95-minute hop in his Embraer E-190, tail N378TP. The $65 million converted regional jet, which Perry keeps at Cobb County International Airport in Atlanta, has been his primary transport between his Georgia studio and the West Coast for years.
The trip lands Perry in Los Angeles the same week Prince Harry is scheduled for a series of public engagements in the city, per U.K. media reports. Perry has a documented history with the Sussexes: in March 2020, he sent this same aircraft to Victoria, Canada, to fly Harry, Meghan Markle, and their son Archie to Burbank in a stealth operation covered by the Daily Mail and other outlets. The couple later stayed at Perry's Beverly Hills mansion. Perry has not been photographed with the Sussexes publicly, but the connection remains intact.
The flight extends a busy month for Perry's aircraft. In the preceding days, N378TP made trips from Atlanta to an airport near Telluride, Colorado, and returned from a European swing that included stops in Barcelona, Nice, and Madrid. Perry's E-190 is a rare sight in private aviation — an ex-regional airliner converted to carry a handful of passengers in a cabin that can seat 100 — and its visits to Burbank have become routine when Hollywood calls.
