Tyler Perry
Tyler Perry flew from Fulton County Airport in Atlanta to Hollywood Burbank Airport on June 2, a 3-hour-57-minute trip in his Embraer E-190, tail number N378TP. The aircraft, a converted 100-seat regional jet Perry acquired for roughly $65 million, touched down just before 10 p.m. local time, according to flight tracking data.
The same week, Perry was widely reported to be in Los Angeles to attend the BET Awards weekend planning sessions and to meet with streaming partners about new original content, per an item in Variety earlier that week. The arrival also coincides with active development on his next feature film, which Perry has said he will shoot at his Atlanta studio later this year — but which requires final location and casting approvals in Burbank.
This trip fits a pattern: Perry has flown to the Los Angeles area at least once in the past two weeks, and the aircraft previously traveled to San Juan and Little Rock. Between the BET cycle and his ongoing production slate, the flight was business as usual for a filmmaker who operates his own studio and keeps his own runway in Georgia.
