Adobe Inc flew from Norman Y. Mineta San Jose International Airport to McKinney National Airport on May 12, a 2-hour-52-minute hop aboard its Gulfstream G650ER (N82123). The aircraft, operated under FAR Part 91 for the company's CEO and critical business matters, touched down in the Dallas exurb just after 3 p.m. local time.
The same week, Adobe continues its search for a successor to CEO Shantanu Narayen, who announced in March he would step down once a replacement is named, per a CNBC report at the time. Narayen, who has led the software giant since 2007, remains chair and is overseeing the transition while the board's special committee considers internal and external candidates. Dallas is not listed among Adobe's major U.S. offices, but the trip may involve meetings with board members or potential candidates in the region.
The flight follows a pattern of short hops earlier this month: the G650ER shuttled between San Jose and Los Angeles on May 5 and 6, likely for business meetings. The Dallas trip, longer and to a non-hub city, suggests a specific purpose tied to the ongoing leadership change. Adobe has not commented on the flight.
