Bernie Ecclestone
Bernie Ecclestone's Dassault Falcon 7X (tail M-REEE) was tracked flying from Bern Airport to Hinterstoisser Air Base in Austria on June 26, 2026, a 46-minute hop that landed just before 5:00 PM local time.
If Bernard Ecclestone was aboard, he would arrive the same weekend as the Formula 1 Austrian Grand Prix at the nearby Red Bull Ring. Per a report from PlanetF1, the former F1 supremo was in the paddock throughout the weekend and presented the FIA President's medal to race winner Lando Norris — a career first for Ecclestone, who had never before stood on a podium. The trip also comes as Ecclestone, the FIA, and Formula 1 fight Felipe Massa's £64 million lawsuit at the UK Supreme Court, where a leapfrog appeal was granted on June 4.
The short hop from Bern fits a pattern of quick flights to race weekends; Ecclestone, who relocated to Switzerland in 2017, frequently uses his Falcon 7X to attend Grands Prix across Europe. Hinterstoisser Air Base, a military field near Zeltweg, is the standard arrival point for VIPs visiting the Red Bull Ring.
