Boston Scientific
Boston Scientific flew from Hanscom Field in Bedford, Massachusetts, to Rhode Island T. F. Green International Airport on May 16, a 24-minute hop aboard its Challenger 650, N650BS. The aircraft climbed no higher than 4,000 feet and maxed out at 214 knots, a brief repositioning that suggests a connecting itinerary rather than a final destination.
The same week, Boston Scientific chairman and CEO Mike Mahoney is scheduled to appear at Bernstein’s 42nd Annual Strategic Decisions Conference on May 27 in New York, per a company press release. Mahoney will join chief medical officer Janar Sathananthan for a 50-minute question-and-answer session with analysts. The timing of the Providence landing — roughly 200 miles from Manhattan — points toward onward travel to that investor event, which comes as Boston Scientific navigates a lowered 2026 guidance, a Class I recall of its Accolade pacemakers, and intensifying competition in pulsed field ablation.
The flight fits a pattern of short-haul repositioning ahead of key engagements. Earlier in May, the same aircraft flew from Minneapolis to Boston and back, and from Seattle to Boston, consistent with the company’s habit of moving executives to speaking events, board meetings, and regulatory briefings. This trip appears to be the first leg of a journey toward a conference where Mahoney will defend a strategy he called “prudent” after the company slashed its full-year outlook, as reported by MedTech Dive.
