Brad Garlinghouse flew from London City Airport to Oslo-Gardermoen on May 16, a 98-minute hop aboard his Bombardier Global 6000, N100RP. The trip follows a brief stop in London two days earlier, where the aircraft arrived from the Miami area on May 13.
The Oslo arrival coincides with a pivotal moment for the crypto industry’s top legislative priority. Speaking at Consensus 2026 in Miami on May 5, Garlinghouse warned that the CLARITY Act’s survival depends on Senate Banking Committee action within the next two weeks, per CoinDesk. “If it doesn’t get out of committee by the end of the third week in May, I think we’re in real trouble,” he said at XRP Las Vegas on April 30, as reported by MetaTrader. The bill, which would codify crypto market structure rules, cleared the House in July 2025 but stalled over stablecoin yield disagreements until a compromise was reached in early May.
Garlinghouse has been shuttling between the U.S. and Europe frequently this year—his Gulfstream has logged trips to Singapore and Hamilton Island in recent months. Oslo is not a typical destination on his flight log, suggesting a private meeting or investor discussion tied to the legislative timeline. With the midterm elections approaching, the Ripple CEO has made clear that regulatory clarity, however imperfect, beats continued uncertainty.
