Caesars's Gulfstream V, N898CE, was tracked flying from Smugglers Cove Airport to Hancock County-Bar Harbor Airport on June 25, a 5-hour, 1-minute flight that touched down just after 7 p.m. local time. The aircraft, a Gulfstream V used for high-roller transport, departed from the remote airstrip in Maine's interior.
If Caesars was aboard, the arrival would coincide with a pivotal week for the company's Maine operations. As covered by Covers.com on June 24, Caesars announced an expanded partnership with three Wabanaki nations to launch online casino products under the Caesars Palace Online Casino, Caesars Sportsbook & Casino, and Horseshoe Online Casino brands. Maine's iGaming law takes effect July 15, and Caesars is positioning to be among the first operators live in the state. The timing of this flight suggests a final round of meetings with tribal partners or regulators before the market opens.
The flight follows a busy week for N898CE, which had shuttled between California, Montana, and New Jersey. Caesars's home base is Las Vegas, but the company's digital expansion into new states — and the pending $17.6 billion acquisition by Fertitta Entertainment, announced in May per the Nevada Independent — keeps its leadership on the move.
