If anyone from Caesars was on board, the trip would follow the company's announcement—covered by the Portland Press Herald on June 25—that it is expanding its existing partnership with three Wabanaki Nations to include iGaming in Maine. Online casino gambling in the state is set to become legal on July 29, and this flight could have been for meetings or advance preparations with tribal leaders.

The day prior, the same aircraft had flown from Van Nuys, California, to the Bar Harbor area, suggesting a multi-leg journey that began on the West Coast. Caesars, which operates over 50 casinos nationwide, has been active this week with both its Maine iGaming initiative and its pending $17.6 billion acquisition by Fertitta Entertainment.
