Corning flew from Republic Airport to Elmira Corning Regional Airport early on May 20, 2026, a 45-minute hop in the company's Challenger 850, tail N28CG. The flight arrived just before 4 a.m. local time, returning from the New York City area.
The trip comes the same week Corning held an investor event at the New York Stock Exchange on May 6, where it upgraded and extended its Springboard plan through 2030 and outlined a new Photonics Market-Access Platform, per a company news release. That event also followed the announcement of a multiyear partnership with NVIDIA to expand U.S. manufacturing of optical connectivity for AI infrastructure, with plans to build three new plants and create more than 3,000 jobs, as covered by Corning's own release on May 6. CEO Wendell Weeks participated in a CNBC interview on May 7 to discuss the developments.
The flight pattern shows Corning's aircraft were active across multiple cities in the days prior, including trips to Boston, Charlotte, and the New York metro area, consistent with the company's investor roadshow and management visits to offices in select cities, as noted in its Q1 earnings release.
