Corning's Falcon 900, tail N38CG, landed at Dodge/Coppola/Wheeler Airport in Waterloo, NY, on May 26 after a 32-minute hop from Morristown Municipal Airport in New Jersey. The brief trip suggests executives returning from meetings near New York City to the company's headquarters region.
The flight comes as Corning continues to run one of the most extensive corporate aviation operations for a firm its size. Per the NBAA, Corning operates six aircraft — Challenger 850s and Falcon 900s — on a self-dispatch shuttle system, moving employees and executives to facilities in Charlotte, Lexington, and Morristown, among others.
While Waterloo is not a regular shuttle stop, the area is home to Corning's historical roots and glass-making facilities. The company's aviation department, which flew 3,500 hours last year, often uses small regional airports to reach plants and research centers across upstate New York.
