Danaher flew from Whidbey Air Park in Washington state to Leesburg Executive Airport in Virginia on June 11, a 4-hour-24-minute hop that lands the company’s Falcon 900B, N886DC, at its home base outside Washington, D.C.

The trip arrives the same week Danaher announced it had completed its acquisition of Masimo Corporation, a $9.9 billion deal that makes Masimo a wholly owned subsidiary within Danaher’s Diagnostics segment, per the company’s June 10 release on investors.danaher.com. The transaction, approved by Masimo shareholders in May, brings pulse oximetry and AI-enabled patient monitoring into Danaher’s portfolio of Beckman Coulter, Cepheid, and other diagnostics businesses. Chief Executive Rainer Blair and his leadership team were likely shuttling between the Pacific Northwest — where Masimo is headquartered in Irvine, though the flight departed from Washington’s Whidbey Air Park — and the company’s Dulles-area HQ as the legal and operational paperwork closed.

The return to KJYO fits a pattern: the same aircraft made a westbound trip from the D.C. region to Whidbey on June 8, and three of Danaher’s last four logged flights have originated or ended at the company’s Virginia home base. With the Masimo integration now underway and second-quarter earnings due in July, expect N886DC to stay close to the Pentagon’s shadow for a bit.
