Dow
On May 19, Dow flew one of its Bombardier CRJ-900s from Baton Rouge to Texas Gulf Coast Regional Airport, a 44-minute hop. The aircraft, N892D, has been a frequent shuttle between Dow's Louisiana operations and its Texas sites.
The landing came just a day after the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission issued a Finding of No Significant Impact for Dow and X-energy's proposed Long Mott Generating Station in Seadrift, per a press release from Dow. The advanced nuclear reactor would provide steam and electricity to Dow's UCC Seadrift Operations, marking the first grid-scale advanced reactor at a U.S. industrial site [corporate.dow.com](https://corporate.dow.com/en-us/news/press-releases/nrc-issues-environmental-assessment-with--finding-of-no-signific.html).
The flight continues a pattern of engineering team movements between Dow's manufacturing hubs. The NRC's environmental assessment, completed ahead of schedule, clears a major regulatory hurdle for the project, which has been in pre-licensing since 2018.
