Dow's Bombardier CRJ-900, tail number N892D, touched down at MBS International Airport in Midland, Michigan, on May 25 after a two-hour flight from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The aircraft, which typically carries large engineering teams between Dow's manufacturing sites, had spent the previous week making multiple trips between Baton Rouge and Texas Gulf Coast Regional Airport near Dow's Oyster Creek plant.

The return to headquarters comes at the end of a period of heavy intra-Gulf travel. Between May 11 and May 25, N892D logged at least eight round trips between Baton Rouge and Texas Gulf Coast, with one leg originating from Midland on May 19. Dow's CEO Jim Fitterling and his leadership team often use the CRJ-900 to visit the company's sprawling chemical complexes along the Louisiana-Texas corridor, where the company operates major ethylene and polyethylene facilities.

Dow's home base remains MBS International, and the pattern of shuttling between Midland and Gulf Coast sites is a routine feature of the company's flight operations. The May 25 flight simply marks the end of another work cycle — a return to headquarters after a week of hands-on oversight at the plants that generate much of Dow's revenue.
