Elon Musk
Elon Musk flew from Joint Base Andrews to a location near Anchorage, Alaska, on Tuesday, May 12, 2026. The 6-hour, 22-minute flight arrived at 61.168, -150.010, a wilderness area southeast of Knik River, per flight tracking data.
The trip came the same day OpenAI CEO Sam Altman was scheduled to testify in Elon Musk's lawsuit against the AI company, per CNBC's live coverage of the trial. Musk, who testified earlier, was not required in court for Altman's appearance. The trial, which has seen testimony from Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella and OpenAI co-founder Ilya Sutskever, is expected to wrap up this week, with closing statements on Thursday [cnbc.com](https://www.cnbc.com/2026/05/12/openai-trial-updates-sam-altman-set-to-testify-in-musk-suit.html).
Musk's recent flight history shows heavy travel between California, Texas, and the DC area during the trial. The Alaska destination is a departure from those routes; its purpose is unconfirmed, but Musk's SpaceX operations have occasional presence in the region. The G800, delivered to Musk in February 2025, made the journey from Andrews without an onward leg as of late Tuesday.
