John Travolta
John Travolta flew from St. Petersburg-Clearwater to Nice, France, on May 13, a 9-hour, 10-minute crossing in his Bombardier Global Express, N59DB. The flight touched down on the French Riviera the same week a far more sentimental journey concluded on the other side of the world.
Travolta’s former Boeing 707 — the luxury jet he flew to the Paris Olympics in 2024 — arrived by ship at Port Kembla, Australia, on May 13, per ABC News. The aircraft, donated nearly a decade ago to the Historical Aircraft Restoration Society, was unloaded after two months at sea from Georgia. It will be rebuilt and displayed at Shellharbour Airport. The timing suggests Travolta may have chosen to be in Europe as his old plane began its new life in a museum.
The flight also follows a busy week of flying: Travolta logged five legs in the days prior, shuttling between Texas, California, and Florida. The Global Express is a recent addition to his fleet — he earned his type rating in February, as reported by the Daily Express US, and shared simulator training for the jet on Instagram on May 5.
