Tiger Woods
Tiger Woods flew from Zurich Airport to Palm Beach International on May 13, landing just after 6:30 p.m. local time in a Gulfstream V that spent more than ten hours crossing the Atlantic. The 15-time major champion had been in Switzerland for a three-month inpatient treatment program, as reported by the Daily Mail, after his March 27 DUI arrest near his Jupiter Island home.
The same week Woods returned to Florida, a Martin County judge ruled that prosecutors can access his prescription medication records from January 1 through the date of the crash. The May 12 hearing, covered by NBC News and ABC News, ended with a protective order that keeps the records out of public view but grants the state the information it sought. Woods has pleaded not guilty to driving under the influence with property damage and refusal to submit to a lawful test.
Woods had flown to Zurich on May 11, and his return to Palm Beach — the closest major airport to his Jupiter Island estate — suggests he is re-entering the legal and personal orbit of his home base after treatment. The court case, now advancing on the evidence front, will continue to shadow whatever comes next on the course.
