Netflix flew from Teterboro to San Francisco on May 14, a 5-hour 10-minute trip aboard its Gulfstreaming giant's Gulfstream G550, tail number N533GV, touched down at SFO just before 9 p.m. local time.
The same week, Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos made a rare appearance at CinemaCon in Las Vegas, meeting with AMC, Regal, and Cinemark executives to discuss theatrical distribution, per reports from The Wrap and GV Wire. The meetings followed the company's third annual Netflix Is a Joke comedy festival in Los Angeles, where Sarandos hosted a private brunch for comedians including Dave Chappelle and Adam Sandler, as covered by Time.news. The flight from Teterboro, near New York suggests Sarandos may have flown east after the festival before returning to the previous weekend prior weekend prior, then returned to the Bay Area.
The trip fits a pattern: Netflix's Gulfstream frequently shuttles between Burbank, Teterboro, and San Jose-area airports. The company's 2026 proxy permits executive family use of the aircraft, and Sarandos reported $532,934 in personal aircraft costs for 2025. The return to San Francisco comes as Netflix continues to navigate its relationship with theater owners and expand live events, per Bloomberg's report on the company's $135 billion production spend over the past decade.
