On May 24, Eli Lilly's Gulfstream G500 (N307EL) touched down at San Francisco International Airport, completing a four-hour flight from Indianapolis. The trip comes at a pivotal moment for the drugmaker.
Just days earlier, on May 20, Lilly filed a civil lawsuit in Miami federal court accusing a Florida pharmacy and Pentecostal church leaders of a scheme to steal more than $200 million in rebates tied to its diabetes drug Trulicity, as reported by CNBC. The company said it learned of the alleged fraud through data analysis in 2025. The San Francisco visit may involve consultations with legal teams or investors as the company pursues the case and addresses the fallout.
The Indianapolis-based pharmaceutical giant has been busy: last month it reported a 56% revenue jump in Q1 and raised full-year guidance, buoyed by FDA approval of its weight-loss pill Foundayo. Recent flights show a steady beat of East Coast trips to Washington and New York, making this west coast swing a notable addition to the schedule.
