Emerson Electric
Emerson Electric flew from Anchorage to Shanghai on May 10, touching down after an eight-and-a-half-hour flight across the Pacific. The Dassault Falcon 7X, tail number N8200E, departed Ted Stevens International at 8:30 p.m. local time and arrived near Shanghai's Pudong area just after 1 p.m. the following day.
The trip comes the same week Emerson's president and CEO, Lal Karsanbhai, is scheduled to present at Citi's 2026 Global Industrial Tech and Mobility Conference in Miami Beach on February 18, per an Emerson news release. The Shanghai arrival also follows the company's second-quarter earnings report on May 5, where Karsanbhai noted the Middle East conflict had reduced underlying sales by about 1 point and flagged China as "slower than expected," with the region now expected to decline mid-single digits for the fiscal year, as covered by The Lincolnian Online.
The flight continues a pattern of international travel for Emerson's leadership. The same aircraft flew from St. Louis to Anchorage on May 10, suggesting a multi-leg journey that began at the company's home base. With China representing a key but challenged market, the Shanghai stop likely involves meetings with regional customers or operations teams.
