Gang Ye flew from Pittsburgh International Airport to Teterboro Airport on June 19, a 58-minute hop that brought him to the New York area the same week Sea Limited’s AI chatbot Migoo went live in the United States. The flight arrives as the company, best known for operating Shopee and Garena, makes its first quiet push into the competitive American consumer market with a hyper-personalized companion app that integrates directly into iMessage, as reported by The Business Times.
Migoo is spearheaded by Sea president Chris Feng and operates under a Delaware entity that lists longtime executive Bingyu Wang as a director. The project represents one of Sea’s most significant moves into AI, coming after CEO Forrest Li told investors a trillion-dollar market cap was possible if the company doubled down on the technology. Ye’s Gulfstream G650ER, tail N588SE, has been logged on a series of recent flights across the US, including stops in Chicago, Boston, and Dallas, consistent with a coast-to-coast business circuit.
Sea’s Q1 2026 revenue beat expectations at $7.1 billion, with the company reporting its first-ever billion-dollar adjusted-EBITDA quarter. The stock has declined more than 40 percent over the past year, trailing Asian peers like Alibaba and Tencent, as the company bets on AI to catalyze growth beyond its core e-commerce and gaming businesses.
