General Electric flew its HondaJet HA-420, tail number N120GE, from J5 Mike Airport to Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (KCVG) on May 26, 2026, a brief hop returning the aircraft to its home base after an earlier leg to a southerly field the same day. The flight arrives the same week GE Aerospace continues to advance its CFM RISE program, a suite of technologies aiming for a 20% improvement in fuel efficiency, including the Open Fan engine design, as detailed by the company's news division earlier this year.
The return to Cincinnati comes after a busy two weeks for N120GE, per Celebplanes flight history. On May 22, the jet flew a round trip to Long Island MacArthur Airport, and on May 18, it visited Laurence G Hanscom Field near Boston. Those movements fit a pattern of trips to key business and conference destinations, consistent with General Electric's role as a major aerospace and technology firm.
General Electric, now GE Aerospace following its 2024 spinoff, bases its headquarters in Cincinnati and keeps a surprisingly modest corporate fleet; the HondaJet HA-420 is a very-light jet. The timing of this landing coincides with the company's continued focus on the RISE demonstration program, for which its 747 Flying Test Bed is based at Victorville, California, but engine ground tests and planning work happen frequently at the Cincinnati hub.
