George Lucas
George Lucas flew from Chicago Midway to Los Angeles International on May 28, arriving just before 8:15 a.m. Pacific on his Gulfstream V, N138GL. The 3-hour-34-minute trip brought him back to Southern California after a multi-city swing that included stops in the Philadelphia area, Seattle, and Chicago earlier in the month.
The arrival lands in Los Angeles the same week as Star Wars Celebration Anaheim, which continues through June 1 at the Anaheim Convention Center, per the event's official schedule. Though Lucas has stepped back from day-to-day involvement since selling Lucasfilm to Disney in 2012, he remains a fixture at the fan gathering, which this year marks the franchise's continuing expansion on-screen and at Disney's theme parks.
The May 28 flight follows a pattern visible in recent trips: a brief stop at Chicago Midway on May 27, then a return west. The week before, Lucas had flown from Philadelphia to San Francisco on May 23, suggesting business or personal stops on the East Coast before heading back for the convention. Skywalker Ranch in Marin County remains his primary base, but Los Angeles is a recurring destination for industry events and meetings.
