Jake Paul
Jake Paul flew from San Juan (TJSJ) to Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport (KBHM) on May 26, a 3h 24m hop in his Bombardier Global Express XRS, N801AD. The flight arrives two days after Paul said he would undergo new scans on his jaw, which was broken in two places during his December 2025 knockout loss to Anthony Joshua, per [Bolavip US](https://bolavip.com/en/boxing/jake-paul-admits-boxing-future-remain-uncertain-after-anthony-joshua-knockout-loss).
Birmingham is home to the University of Alabama at Birmingham’s School of Dentistry and several leading oral-surgery and maxillofacial practices, a plausible destination for a fighter awaiting clearance on whether he can spar again. Paul told The Ariel Helwani Show that retirement “is definitely in the realm of possibility,” depending on how the bone heals [youtube.com](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z2zvbbfw5po). The scans he mentioned were due “in a couple of days” from May 14, placing the appointment window around this week’s flight.
The trip breaks a pattern of mostly leisure and promotional flights — recent legs include Los Angeles, Miami, and Paul’s Puerto Rico base — and suggests a medical rather than a business purpose. Paul has not fought since the Joshua bout and has said he still lacks clearance to spar.
