Jeff Lebby's Learjet 45 (N204MS) made a brief local hop from and to Starkville's George M. Bryan Airport on June 11 — a 0-minute, 2,150-foot climb that likely amounts to a maintenance or repositioning flight. The aircraft, owned by the Mississippi State University Foundation via Maroon Air LLC, spends most of its time shuttling the head coach across the SEC's talent footprint.
But the real recruiting action happened off the tarmac. On June 10, per Maroon and White Nation, Lebby landed a commitment from three-star quarterback Brodie McWhorter (Kingston, Ga.) for the 2026 class, choosing Mississippi State over Colorado and Indiana. Meanwhile, A to Z Sports reported that Oklahoma transfer wide receiver Zion Ragins — a former Lebby recruit — has joined the Bulldogs, adding speed to a receiving corps that already features Brenen Thompson.
These moves come during the summer quiet period, when coaches can attend camps and evaluation events but not make off-campus in-person contact. Lebby's 2026 class, which includes five-star safety Bralan Womack, is taking shape after some October decommitments. The Learjet may have stayed home, but Lebby's recruiting machine is airborne.
