Jimmie Johnson
Jimmie Johnson's Bombardier Challenger 300, tail N704JB, was tracked flying from Treasure Cay Airport in the Bahamas to Savannah Hilton Head International Airport on June 25, covering the 56-minute hop at 37,000 feet. The aircraft arrived just before midnight local time, following a prior movement earlier that day from the Savannah area toward Charlotte.
If Jimmie Johnson was aboard, the flight lands just days before his scheduled debut as a NASCAR analyst for TNT Sports. Per Front Office Sports, Johnson is joining TNT's broadcast team for its In-Season Challenge coverage, beginning June 28 at Sonoma Raceway. Savannah, a known base for the driver, would serve as a convenient staging point before heading west for the broadcast.
The trip continues a busy stretch for the seven-time Cup Series champion, who recently competed in both the Truck and Cup Series races at the historic San Diego street course on Naval Base Coronado. With his on-track season winding down and a media career ramping up, the aircraft's movements suggest a pivot from racing to broadcasting duties.
