John Travolta
John Travolta flew from Fayence-Tourrettes Airfield in southern France to Westchester County Airport on May 18, 2026, piloting his Bombardier Global Express (N59DB) on an 8-hour, 13-minute transatlantic crossing. The flight arrived at KHPN just after 5:42 p.m. local time, following a departure from the French Riviera airfield where he had been training.
The trip lands the same week Travolta announced he had finished his “express simulator training” on the Global Express, per an Instagram post on May 5 covered by multiple outlets including AOL and Celebrity Insider. The 72-year-old obtained his license for the ultra-long-range jet in February, on his birthday, as reported by the Daily Express US. Westchester County Airport is a common gateway to New York City and the surrounding region, where Travolta maintains professional and personal ties.
Travolta’s recent flight history shows a pattern of cross-country and transatlantic movements: he flew from Ocala, Florida to Nice, France on May 13, then to Shannon, Ireland on May 18 before heading to New York. The Global Express, capable of 7,900 nautical miles non-stop, is now the latest addition to a fleet that includes a Boeing 737 and a Dassault Falcon 900, reflecting a lifelong aviation passion that began with a pilot’s license at age 22.
