Kash Patel
The Gulfstream G550 bearing tail N708JH, operated by the Department of Justice for the FBI director, was tracked departing Joint Base Andrews at 3:59 p.m. ET on Saturday, June 27, and landing at Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport at 6:47 p.m. ET after a two-hour, 48-minute flight. The aircraft's movements are logged, but who was aboard is not a matter of public record.
If Kash Patel was aboard, he would arrive in South Florida the same week that a whistleblower report — detailed by Senator Dick Durbin and covered by the BBC and NPR — alleges that Patel's use of FBI jets delayed the bureau's response to the assassination of conservative commentator Charlie Kirk in Utah and the mass shooting at Brown University in December 2025. The trip also follows Patel's recent pattern of personal flights to Florida, including a reported visit to his parents during the Brown shooting and a previous trip to see his girlfriend, country singer Alexis Wilkins, perform.
This flight continues a well-documented cycle of scrutiny around N708JH. Patel's predecessors also used government jets for security reasons, but the scale and frequency of his personal trips — to Las Vegas, Hawaii, and various events — prompted him to reimburse the government at commercial rates, per FBI statements. The aircraft's landing at Opa-Locka, a general aviation field popular with wealthy travelers, offers no official explanation for the visit.
