Lakshmi Mittal
Lakshmi Mittal flew from Nice to London Luton on June 7, 2026, aboard his Bombardier Global 7500, tail number G-LOBX. The one-hour, 36-minute hop from the French Riviera to the UK comes as the billionaire steel tycoon is reportedly finalizing a permanent move away from Britain after nearly three decades of residency.
The same week Mittal’s G-LOBX touched down in Bedfordshire, multiple outlets including the Khaleej Times and CEO Reporter confirmed that the ArcelorMittal chairman is relocating to Dubai and Switzerland, driven by the Labour government’s abolition of the non-dom tax regime in April 2025 and fears of further wealth taxes. Mittal, who already owns properties in Dubai and a chalet in St. Moritz, has reportedly acquired a plot on the ultra-exclusive Naïa Island development, per ET Now. The trip to London may involve final business or personal arrangements tied to his shifting tax status.
Mittal’s recent flight history shows a pattern of movement between his bases: Geneva, London, and the French Riviera, with a trip to India in late May. His Bombardier Global 7500, delivered in 2021, replaced a Gulfstream G550 and is often used for transcontinental hops between ArcelorMittal’s Luxembourg HQ, Mumbai, and New York. This particular flight, however, lands in a city Mittal is publicly leaving behind—a quiet coda to a three-decade chapter.
