Larry Ellison
Larry Ellison flew from Honolulu's Daniel K. Inouye International Airport to Lanai Airport on June 5, a brief 38-minute inter-island hop aboard his Gulfstream G650, N817GS. The flight arrives as Ellison's owned Lānaʻi Air prepares to launch service to Molokaʻi, according to a Civil Beat report from April. The airline, formed in 2018 to shuttle Four Seasons guests to Ellison's resorts, opened ticket sales to the public in 2024 and now aims to help Molokaʻi residents access off-island healthcare and other essentials.
Ellison, who owns 98% of Lanai and a $173 million Florida estate, has been dividing his time between the coasts. His recent flights show a pattern: a Florida-to-Hawaii leg on June 4, then this short hop to his private island. With the Molokaʻi route still in finalization and five new jobs advertised at Molokaʻi Airport, per Civil Beat, Ellison's presence on Lanai suggests hands-on oversight of his expanding island aviation network.
