Larry Ellison
Larry Ellison flew from Kalaeloa Airport on Oahu to Lanai Airport on June 5, a short hop across the channel to the island he owns nearly 98 percent of. The flight came a day after he arrived in Hawaii from Palm Beach, Florida, where he now maintains his primary residence.
The return to Lanai follows a busy stretch for Ellison: in late May, he flew to Van Nuys, California, as the deadline approached for Paramount’s hostile takeover bid for Warner Bros. Discovery — a deal backed by Ellison’s $40 billion personal guarantee, per a Celebplanes report. With that deadline now passed and the industry watching the Department of Justice’s review of competing offers, the billionaire has retreated to his Pacific sanctuary.
Ellison’s travel patterns often swing between Florida, California, and Hawaii. After a multi-day transcontinental trip — including a June 4 Palm Beach-to-Oahu leg — a quick hop to Lanai is routine for the Oracle chairman, who has developed the island with a resort, golf course, and private infrastructure.
