Michael Bloomberg flew from Morristown Municipal Airport to LaGuardia Airport on May 13, a 23-minute hop aboard his Dassault Falcon 900LX (N47EG). The flight, which reached just 5,025 feet, is a brief repositioning from a New Jersey base to a New York City airport that serves his primary residence and the headquarters of Bloomberg L.P.
The same week, Bloomberg's political and climate work made news. The Colorado Sun reported on May 5 that Bloomberg's support for U.S. Senator Michael Bennet's gubernatorial campaign reached $2.5 million, with a $1.25 million super PAC donation in the latest reporting period. Separately, on April 29, Bloomberg Philanthropies announced a partnership with the COP30 presidency to "turbocharge global climate progress," per a press release from Bloomberg Philanthropies. Bloomberg, as UN Special Envoy on Climate Ambition and Solutions, is central to that effort.
The trip is consistent with Bloomberg's pattern of shuttling between his New Jersey and New York bases for business, philanthropy, and political engagements. With a fleet of two Falcon 900s and a reported third jet, these short hops are routine for a figure whose schedule blends media oversight, climate advocacy, and political spending.
