Nassef Sawiris
Nassef Sawiris's Gulfstream G700, tail M-USIK, was tracked flying from Quesna Airport near Cairo to Mykonos Island National Airport on June 30, arriving after a 64-minute hop. The aircraft departed its Egyptian base at 20:10 UTC and touched down on the Greek island at 21:15 UTC, according to flight data.
If Nassef Sawiris was aboard, the trip would come just days after his family office, NNS Holding, launched an unsolicited all-cash offer of €4.10 per share for the outstanding shares of OCI Global, the Euronext-listed nitrogen and methanol producer he controls. The bid, valued at roughly €866.6 million per [thestartupscene.me](https://thestartupscene.me/INVESTMENTS/Nassef-Sawiris-Family-Office-Makes-866-6-Million-Bid-for-OCI-Global), is intended to break a months-long governance deadlock over OCI's proposed combination with Orascom Construction, which was frozen by a Dutch court in January. Mykonos, a popular summer destination, could offer a brief pause before the next procedural steps, including submission of the offer memorandum to Dutch regulators.
The flight follows a pattern of short hops between Sawiris's known bases: the aircraft visited Mykonos on June 29 as well, and earlier in the week it shuttled between Cairo, Paris, and the Greek island. Nassef Sawiris, Egypt's richest man with a net worth estimated at $8.8 billion by Forbes, also holds a stake in Adidas and co-owns Aston Villa FC.
