Netflix flew from Traverse City, Michigan, to Nice, France, on June 20, 2026, a 7-hour, 47-minute transatlantic hop in its Gulfstream G550 (N533GV). The aircraft departed Cherry Capital Airport just after midday and touched down on the Côte d’Azur at roughly 8:18 PM UTC.
The same week, the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity is underway just down the coast, and Netflix has a prominent presence there once again. Per a WebWire release from June 10, the company is hosting a “Netflix Fan Club” rooftop activation at the JW Marriott through June 24, including a World Cup watch party, executive dinners, and a late-night comedy set by Ali Wong. Co-CEO Ted Sarandos is expected to attend key meetings on the Croisette, and the company’s leadership frequently uses this event to court advertising partners and talent.
The flight continues a busy June for the aircraft. Earlier in the week, N533GV hopped from Warsaw to Paris and then to San Francisco, reflecting the company’s sprawling global operations—from its European production hubs to its Los Gatos headquarters and ongoing negotiations like the TF1 streaming partnership in France, as reported by Variety, and discussion with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni about expanding investments, per Agenzia Nova.
