The company's pattern of flights to Chicago, Washington, and Omaha this spring mirrors the lobbying and legal push for what would be the first true transcontinental railroad. With the clock ticking on a June refiling deadline, the Midway arrival looks less like a routine visit and more like another stop on a strategic circuit.
