Oleg Deripaska
Oleg Deripaska flew from Moscow’s Vnukovo Airport to Beijing Capital International Airport on June 10–11, 2026, a 4-hour 13-minute trip aboard his Dassault Falcon 7X (tail RA-09618).
The timing is no coincidence. As reported by Kommersant on May 20, Deripaska was in China as part of a Russian delegation headed by President Vladimir Putin. Asked how many billions he would “bring home,” he deflected, but Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov put the figure at tens of billions of dollars in prospective deals. This week’s talks build on a pattern: border records cited by The Insider show Deripaska made at least five trips to China on this same aircraft between February and September 2023, with additional stops in India and Kazakhstan.
Deripaska, founder of Rusal and Basic Element, has been under Western sanctions since 2018 and allegedly acquired the Falcon through a Kazakh shell company to evade restrictions, per The Insider. The jet’s movements—often to Beijing, as seen in recurring flight activity—track with his business push into China’s aluminum and energy markets. This visit may set the terms for that cooperation.
