PNC Financial flew from Teterboro to Pittsburgh's Allegheny County Airport late Tuesday night, a 59-minute hop that landed just before 10 p.m. local time. The Bombardier Challenger 300, tail N852DL, departed KTEB at 8:59 p.m. ET and arrived at KAGC at 9:59 p.m., according to flight data.
The same week, PNC Financial continues to digest its $4.1 billion acquisition of FirstBank Holding Company, which closed in January and boosted first-quarter revenue to $6.2 billion, per an American Banker report. CEO Bill Demchak has been shuttling between Pittsburgh and the New York area for investor meetings and industry conferences, including the Morgan Stanley U.S. Financials Conference last June. The bank recently raised its 2026 loan-growth forecast to 11% and net interest income growth to 14.5%, signaling confidence in its coast-to-coast expansion strategy.
This trip fits a pattern: PNC Financial's fleet has made multiple round trips between Pittsburgh and the New York metro area over the past week. With a $2 billion branch-expansion plan and a new Western foothold, Demchak's frequent flyer miles are piling up as he vows to “bring the fight” to bigger rivals, as he told analysts in January.
