On June 18, PNC Financial flew from Allegheny County Airport to Gary/Chicago International Airport aboard its Bombardier Challenger 300 (N852DL), a 1-hour 6-minute hop that reached 34,025 feet.
The trip comes just over a week after CEO Bill Demchak presented at the Morgan Stanley US Financials Conference in New York, per a Seeking Alpha transcript. Demchak discussed the bank's strong corporate activity and consumer health, and reiterated PNC's ambition to compete nationally, as covered by American Banker in January.
The flight to Chicago fits a pattern of Midwest activity: in recent days, the bank's aircraft visited Cleveland, Columbus, and Atlanta. Gary/Chicago International serves as a reliever for the region, and PNC maintains a significant commercial presence in the Chicago area.
