PNC Financial flew from Philadelphia to Morristown Municipal Airport on June 22, a 32-minute hop in its Bombardier Challenger 300 (N852DL). The aircraft reached 4,125 feet and a top speed of 297 knots before setting down in New Jersey just before 7 p.m. local time.
The same day, PNC Financial announced it had completed the conversion of 780,000 customers from FirstBank to PNC Bank across Colorado and Arizona, per a company press release. CEO William S. Demchak called it a milestone reflecting "the hard work of thousands of employees." The Morristown arrival also comes ahead of the Morgan Stanley U.S. Financials Conference in New York City on June 9, where Demchak and CFO Robert Q. Reilly were scheduled to speak — a trip that likely required additional executive movement in the region.
The flight follows a busy week for PNC Financial's fleet, which included a cross-country leg from Denver to Pittsburgh on June 21 and a flurry of shuttles between Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, and Chicago. The brief hop into Morristown suggests a meeting or connection in the New York metro area, a recurring destination for the bank's leadership.
