Prince Albert II
Prince Albert II flew from Aix Les Milles airport to Nice-Côte d'Azur Airport on June 2, a 20-minute hop in his Dassault Falcon 8X (tail 3A-MGA). The short flight, which reached 20,925 feet, followed a longer trip the previous day that appeared to originate near Madrid, suggesting a brief stopover in southern France before returning to his home base.
The same week, the Monte Carlo Summer Festival announced its 2026 program, per an official release from the Société des Bains de Mer. The festival, which runs from July through August at the Opéra de Monte-Carlo and other venues, is a key event for the principality's tourism and cultural calendar. As head of the House of Grimaldi and the majority shareholder of SBM, Prince Albert II often attends planning meetings and opening galas tied to the festival.
The Prince's travel pattern—a short domestic hop after an international leg—is consistent with his documented use of Nice as a gateway for Monaco. His Falcon 8X, which he upgraded from a 7X in 2013, typically makes about a dozen official flights per year, with carbon offsets applied to all trips.
