Prince Albert II
Prince Albert II flew from Nice to Salzburg on June 10, touching down at 7:40 p.m. local time aboard his Dassault Falcon 8X, tail number 3A-MGA. The 51-minute hop across the Alps came just two days after he and Princess Charlene concluded a historic official visit to Madrid, marking the 150th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Monaco and Spain.
The Madrid trip, covered by Monaco Life and Hola, included a working meeting with King Felipe VI at Zarzuela Palace, a private lunch, and a joint appearance with Queen Letizia at the Royal Botanical Garden — Princess Charlene’s first official visit to Spain since her 2011 marriage. Prince Albert also met Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez and spoke at IE University on sustainability, calling the green transition “an opportunity for innovation, for growth, for reinvention.”
Salzburg does not appear among Prince Albert II’s recurring destinations, but the flight follows a pattern of short European hops after major diplomatic engagements. The Prince offsets all greenhouse gas emissions from his air travel through carbon credits, per his official briefing. No public events in Salzburg have been announced for this week.
