Ryan Silverfield
Ryan Silverfield flew from Destin to Fayetteville on May 27, 2026, a quick 1-hour 52-minute turn in a Learjet 45 operated by the Razorback Foundation. The trip came during the spring evaluation period, when coaches can watch prospects work out at their high schools. Silverfield’s destination was the Florida Panhandle, a region Arkansas has been working to expand its recruiting footprint.
According to 247Sports, the Razorbacks have been heavily recruiting 4-star wide receiver Marcus Harris from Niceville High School. Harris, a 2027 prospect, is one of the top pass-catchers in the state and has drawn interest from several SEC programs. Arkansas offensive coordinator Bobby Petrino extended an offer earlier this spring, and Silverfield’s in-person visit was seen as a signal of how much the staff values him.
The flight underscores Arkansas’s strategy of using the university-owned jet to cover ground efficiently in far-flung recruiting territories. With a strong base in Texas and the Mid-South, the program is now looking to harvest talent from the Florida Panhandle, a pocket that often produces under-the-radar prospects. The trip paid off if Harris ends up in Fayetteville — for now, it’s a sign that Silverfield is willing to go wherever the talent is.
