Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum flew from At Tur Airport in Egypt to London Stansted on June 15, arriving aboard his Boeing 747-422, tail A6-MMM, after a four-hour-and-49-minute flight. The aircraft, part of the Dubai Royal Air Wing fleet, is frequently used for equestrian operations.
The trip comes just weeks after the 30th Dubai World Cup at Meydan Racecourse on March 28, where Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s horse Ombudsman won the Dubai Turf and the American colt Magnitude claimed the $12 million main event, per The National. The ruler’s Godolphin stable, based in Newmarket, requires regular transits between Dubai and the UK for training and competition schedules.
The flight follows a pattern of recent journeys between the UK and Dubai, including a June 14 return from Stansted to Dubai and a June 11 trip from Newmarket to Dubai. The Boeing 747 freighter A6-GGP, operated by Dubai Air Wing, has also been documented moving racehorses to Miami, as reported by okdiario.com, underscoring the logistical network behind the ruler’s global racing empire.
