State Farm's Falcon lands in Seattle the week of a historic California penalty
A short hop at Boeing Field coincides with California's largest insurance enforcement action in a century.

State Farm
State Farm operated its Dassault Falcon 900EX, tail N43SF, on an 11-minute hop at Boeing Field in Seattle on June 7, 2026. The aircraft departed and returned to King County International Airport, a pattern that suggests a crew positioning or maintenance check rather than a passenger arrival.
The brief flight comes the same week California regulators pursue the largest insurance enforcement action in a century against State Farm. As reported by CalMatters on May 4, the state insurance department found hundreds of violations in State Farm's handling of claims from the 2025 Los Angeles wildfires, including delays, underpayment, and confusion caused by cycling through a dozen adjusters on a single claim. Governor Gavin Newsom warned insurers against slow-walking payments, while State Farm has called the enforcement a "reckless, politically motivated attack."
The Bloomington-based mutual company, which operates a four-aircraft Falcon fleet from its Central Illinois hub, has been in the headlines for more than just its claims practices. In late May, State Farm reduced base compensation for its 19,000 agents, per NPR Illinois, and terminated long-standing benefits for retirees. The Seattle-area activity, while brief, lands in a week when the company faces scrutiny on multiple fronts.
