Walmart flew its Embraer Praetor 500, N383PA, from one runway at Rogers Municipal Airport to another on June 7, 2026, a five-second repositioning at 1,750 feet. The flight, departing and arriving at KROG, covered roughly zero miles. It followed a pair of flights the previous day around the Walmart home base.

The same week, Northwest Arkansas National Airport (XNA) near Bentonville processed over 100 daily flights, many carrying suppliers required to pitch products in person to Walmart buyers — a culture the retailer has maintained since its founding. As Supercar Blondie reported this week, the airport in a town of 60,000 sees more than 2.5 million passengers annually, rivaling airports in far larger cities. Walmart’s own flight department, the largest corporate fleet among non-aviation Fortune 500 companies, operates 20-plus aircraft to connect its 10,500 stores across 50 states and 19 countries.

The brief repositioning underscores the efficiency demands of a company whose CEO John Furner is required by board policy to use company aircraft for all travel. Walmart’s Bentonville campus, opened in 2025, consolidated 12 mass-timber buildings into a 2.4 million-square-foot headquarters. Even a five-second hop speaks to the logistical web that keeps shelves stocked across the globe.
