Boeing 777-300ER
80-1111 · ICAO: N/A · Airliner jet

Japan's Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF) operates two Boeing 777-300ERs — serials 80-1111 and 80-1112 — as the primary transport aircraft for the Prime Minister and the Imperial Family. The pair always deploy together for heads-of-state missions (one carries the principal, the second acts as support/spare), flying under callsigns JF001 and JF002.
Based at Chitose Air Base (Hokkaido) and frequently staging through Tokyo Haneda, these aircraft are easily identifiable by their distinctive white-and-blue livery with the Japanese rising-sun emblem. Japan's prime ministerial travel has intensified since the 2022 Abe assassination, increasing security protocols around the flight schedule.
Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako use the same aircraft for state visits. Japan is a top-20 economy and G7 member, meaning the aircraft appear at virtually every major multilateral summit.
