Bombardier Global 7500
VQ-BKJ · ICAO: 4243CE · Heavy jet

Jordan's government VIP aircraft are registered in Bermuda rather than on the Jordanian register, which is common for state flights that want an internationally recognised civil registry. The community databases list four airframes under Royal Jordanian government VIP labels: the Global 7500s VP-BHM, VQ-BJO and VQ-BKJ, and the Gulfstream G650 VQ-BNZ. VP-BHM and VQ-BNZ are already tracked on this site under King Abdullah II; this entry covers the aircraft that carry the government rather than the King personally.
VQ-BKJ is a Bombardier Global 7500, hex 4243CE. The registration has a history worth knowing: until 2022 VQ-BKJ was an Airbus A321 flying for Ural Airlines, one of the large Russian fleet on the Bermudian register that Bermuda de-registered after the invasion of Ukraine. The mark was re-issued, and the stale aviation databases still return the A321 and its old hex 4249CC for it. The current airframe and its hex are different, which is why this is polled by registration and the live hex is bound on first sighting.
Queen Alia International in Amman is the base for the fleet.

Yes. The FAA requires planes with transponders to broadcast their position over ADS-B, and the signal is not encrypted. We collect that public data from adsb.lol and ADSB.fi, two open flight-tracking networks. News outlets and university researchers use the same kind of data. Our methodology page explains how it works.
Owner matches come from the FAA registry, adsb.lol (ODbL) and ADSB.fi data, and SEC filings. They may be incomplete or out of date. Methodology · Report an error. For observational use only.
